We only ocean ride no problems at all
just open the engine hatch and oil hole
put a rag in the air inlet give good rinse down plan tape water
then remove rag flush put hose on flush fitting flush 2 mins max
disconect hose let run 10 second more turn off
the heat will dry everything out

if you don't get the handle bar call try the DIY handle bar fix

must haves Vtec tune and stanless steal wear ring

Then how much money you want to through at it for a few extra m/ph up to you
I am still not hitting the waves @ 100% yet so don't need ant more mods yet

I went from Falmouth to Martha's vinyard on the ski, someone crossed the gulf stream to Bahamas on one, they can handle it, I could not keep up with the ultra 300s not just speed but stability they rode over the waves I had to jump every one or go slow, I got to cruise about 40mph when it was clam seas, 30mph with a good swell, but on the way home when it got rough I was around 20. It handles well but the lighter ski does have its draw back if your riding with a destination, But if your looking to jump wave and hang out on the beach it's the ski to have.

Get the bars fixed, ain't worth it. Just be safe, if your on the list get it done, I broke mine just cruising on a small pond, cant image what would have happened if I was jumping on an ocean wave.
