    Why I loathe NJ waters

I was riding by the Highlands today when I stopped by Bahrs to chat with my parents on the dock. I was idling in the choppy water and finally took off only to lose power and have a violent shake going on. I couldn't get past 10 mph without feeling like it was going to vibrate apart. My rooster tale was flaccid at best. I knew it was cavitation but couldn't find anything. I even pulled into a cove to feel around but nothing. Finally after only an hour of riding I brought it back in to flush. I started it and it sounded like garbage. Gave it a few strong blips of the throttle and boom it was back! It was puking all colors of the rainbow out the back. I knew what it was immediately, it was those quick clip ropes that are for pwc docking. I have a set of my own and thought I ran it over somehow but when I checked, mine was all there. This is just some of what I picked up. Click image for larger version.

I would rather that happen to me instead of what happened to me a couple weekend ago. Some clown on shore slung a empty beer bottle at me when I went by. It just so happened to be the same asshole that threw a rock at me and my girlfriend riding by two days before. I called the cops with the bottle incident but it wasn't worth taking him to court. It would have just been better to be hit by the bottle, I would have had a better case.

He is lucky he didn't hit me, I was doing about 50 coming into a turn, if I fell off my ski it could have hit others standing on shore.
