New owner of 09 fzr, vx plate results and advise needed for further mods

    Hi!
New thread here again, after hours of searching on this forum i cant get things clear.
looks like everyone mods their sho much more then i plan and feels like i dont get anything out of it with my plans.

Now after about 10 hours on my new fzr-09 im thinking of some easy mods.
Have allreday ordered R&D grate + ppk and picked up a new vx plate yesterday.

Im going to leave it stock as i want it as reliable as possible.
i figured out arter doing alot on/off throttle, as i use to do on my old gp1300r.
Its may be worth getting a bov for clutch reliability?

Also read alot about ribbon delete, is that something that makes it less reliable?
only heard good things and the engine runs smoother.

As i notis a bit of cavitation im going to replace the stock prop.
wich prop is the best for my "setup" ?
concord, dynafly or skat trak and ofcourse what pitch.

    Im looking to reach 70mph.
i get 66,9 as best stock.

Test ride with just vx plate without stock spacers and tommy jordan exhaust mod.
Best speed 68,1 , only 1,2 mph gain with vx plate and exhaust mod ? Isnt that low ?

Mods that coming: Grate, ppk, riva manifold, hks bov, anti cavitation cone and a prop.

SCOM, Tommy Jordan free flow exhaust mod, Riva billet strainer, stuffed the stock grate and played with fine tuning the trim settings.... 72.7mph today. Simple as that.

Put a 2014 fzr rideplate modded by Jim and you will be there. If you have not done so already you need to install and R&D intake grate for safety reasons.

Yes. 10hrs on an 09? Rebuild?

Bought it used with 40hours and have run it for 10 hours since i got it.
It does cavitate a bit so now im looking for easy mods to get more speed, acceleration/holeshot and reliability.

Im going for grate, ppk, plate and prop.
my real question is if its worth to put a bov to save the clutch and ribbon delete.
most of you that do ribbon delete repitch prop so if i do it i change it instead but not sure wich and wich pitch.

How did you guys solve the speedo sensor on the vx plate ?
Put my new vx plate on earlyer today and the speedo sensor "hang down" a bit..
will this cause any speed loss?

i did change the 2 screws at back to flat ones.

my speedo is pretty damn accurate with Jim's modded VX plate. About 2-3mph faster than gps, but good enough for me.

Weird mine was waaaayyyyy off with Jim's modded VX plate-higher and more exaggerated than stock.
