Any issues running without power servo motor

I have a 99 Yamaha 1200xl ltd. I just rebuilt the top end and I noticed the power valve servo motor is dead. I tested per the service manual.

I am in the process of getting a replacement servo. The mechanic I used for the carbs said I could run it without the servo motor until I can get a replacement. He suggested I leave the powervalves at wide open to not sacrifice top end speed but would have some loss on the low end acceleration.

Any issue of doing this temporarily?
