So hoping somebody might have some ideas here...
I have a 2013 RXT 260 with 21 hours on it. It ran fine first few times out this season but my friend was on it one day and got an exhust system temp alarm. I assumed it was just because we were puttering around in a now wake area for a really long time and it went off after a few min and was fine the rest of the day. It got back to the dock that night and all was well. There was a problem with the lift it was on (wouldn't go up all the way) and it ended up sitting in the water for about 5 days after a big storm made our lagoon fill up much higher then normal.
Went to start it after that and it wouldn't turn over. I pulled the spark plugs and they were all fouled...odd because i just had changed them at the beginning of the season but figured maybe i got a bad batch of plugs. I replaced them again and went to try the ski this weekend. It now starts but the engine sounds very rough and there is next to no propulsion - maybe a 1-2 MPH and a check engine light on. Anybody have thoughts? while it was in the water the drain plugs were in and no water got in the hull so its not like the engine got flooded or anything so i'm soemwhat at a loss.
