It's pretty straight forward. Remove the intake grate (4 bolts on '09-'13, 6 on '14) and stuff the plugs into the voids of the transom plate and intake grate, and then put the grate back on using locktite on the bolts. You really have to stuff the plugs in, and might even need to trim them a hair and/or use a mallot to pound them in tight so you can get the grate back on. They only fit in one way, so no chance of messing it up.

The seal kit for fx didn't work worth a crap. Complete waste of 80.00. The plugs stuck out of grate by 3/4" and grate wasn't even close to fitting in place. I just filled the voids with caulk. Whole tube of it

If you spray some lube in the void first, the pieces go in easier, they are supposed to stick out a little bit so it fills the void completely.

I found a lot to be desired with the R&D FZ grate and seal kit. It required a lot of trimming as the casting for the grate was crap. On my 15 I will probably do it myself with some marine caulk.

My iPhone is giving me a fit loading pics on here but there's no way it could go in any more. The molding is the issue it just stuck out 3/8" period from the void. Just how it was made. Junk

Mine didnt fit perfect either. Partially because of the casting of the R&D grate. But all I did was knock out some of the extra aluminum and then trimmed the PPK maybe half an inch and that solved the problem. Is it ideal? No I guess not... but hell it only took a minute to do.
