Unhappy slowest modded FZR ever . 10.000 $ for 72.5 mph

    here we are...
I've done some full throttle run...

    I have...

    E1 wheel
    stock intercooler
    160mm tunnel
160 skat trak 15/23R impeller (from riva stage III)
    R3 ECU.
    Riva ride plate.
    OEM Nozzle oem steering nozzle...
and all mods in my signature.

at WOT engine runs only 7590 rpm... (tto tach) 13 psi boost 11.5 afr 72.5 mph gps. (80+mph on dash)

ONLY 72.5 mph for past 10.000 $ in modification...

ok... I know... oem intercooler is not good for this power... also stock nozzle... ...
but I think impeller is too big for my mods...

i know... I have to work... and tune my ski...

upgrade to ET 15.5 (I have it... but not installed yet)
switch to 2014 nozzle bored to 87 mm (i have it, but not installed yet)
open steering nozzle to 92 mm
install lucky 13 cone (have it but, not yet installed)
install a good intercooler (riva or fizzle in my mind)
install 2014 fzr svho plate modded by jim.
and finally repitch my impeller or buy a new one... to turn engine to 8500 RPM

I have also... CP pistons, carrillo rods, R&D valve train kit... lol...

    what do you think ?
am I on the right way ?

what do you think about ?

    Here is my question...

How positive are you that A You have the Correct mechanical Timming? (B) that the Cams are Phased Properly it sure seems to me the your Cams are out of Sync from TDC..

You should be going 84-85 mph with an intercooler turning 8600 rpm . I'm not one of the speed gurus but one critical piece you need is a good intercooler (type 14 or Fizzle). I know guys running that wheel and they also have a RRFPR to dial in their AFR's while turning 8500 + RPMs. You have the internals to spin 9,000 rpm. It sounds like you know what path to take.

Ale getting these skis to put up numbers will be less about money and more about the right combination.which is why making several changes at once is typically something you want to avoid.using a medium boost wheel with a 160mm will prove tricky and you are going to need to extract as much rpm as you can.i see a few things wrong with your setup i will pm some suggestions

I got faster speeds than that with just a ride plate and a $36 air filter.

Once you get your RPMs up by almost 1000 you will have an entirely different ski on your hands. I would start by figuring out the best prop for your setup. Your setup is obviously not exactly like the stage 3 kit so the stage 3 prop is probably too much. The intercooler is worth around 300 RPMs. The rest might be in the nozzle, the tune, etc.

I just realized you basically said all that in your original post, so just follow what you are already thinking.

Check and verify the prop u have is a 15/23 and if it is then have it pitched to a 15/18 and put the 87 nozzle on and see where u are at. Need to fine tune what u have before u start changing everything to something different and then u will never know what effects what. Every time u change something u will then be able to tell what it's doing and what it isn't doing. Also need to get u another intercooler if not u will continue to have rpm troubles once it becomes heat soaked. I would go with a fizzle over a riva any day because the headache of installing the riva isn't worth it plus the price difference makes it even more favorable

It looks like you already identified most of what needs done. You should wait to repitch it until you do all the other mods to see where you are and go from there. It will probably need pitched down a little, but wait until you see what it does with the bigger wheel, intercooler, cone and opened up nozzle. You will probably gain around 800 RPM's from those mods.

+1 on this. It sounds like you are on the right track. Add an IC and a 87 nozzle. I would not pitch the prop until you get the wheel put in. Once you get that in you can pitch the prop according to your RPMS.
