    coupler shaft

    how do u remove the coupler shaft from a 02 gp1200 bearing housing,and install ????

    shaft has to be press out of the bearing housing.

    did mine on a 01 GPR, You have to remove the jet pump, and loosen the motor mounts, tilt the motor up and forward to remove the coupler. There are 3 bolts I believe that hold the coupler to the plastic firewall. Not to bad of job, be careful when moving the motor off the mounts, there are small shims ( for motor\ pump alignment ) between the rubber mounts and the motor. Make sure to grease the new coupler, there will be a tube attached to the coupler that bolts on the head with a grease fitting
