    RXP 215 with a 13/17 3 blade?

Has anyone tried a Skat-trak 13/17 3 blade swirl on their RXP 215?
I was thinking of going this route for better hole shot and was just wondering if anyone could fill me in "from experience" on what to expect as far as rpms and results.
I ran that combo on an RXT, but wasn't sure what it would do in a RXP.
I don't care if I lose top speed, just want to make sure I'm not on the limiter.

a bigger nozzle will also improve the hole shot

Yeah, I was thinking of going with an rxp-x venturi but I think that big of a jump would get me on the limiter. That's going from 83mm to 87mm right?

You will holeshot a 4 blade Solas by a ski or two than the Solas ski will overtake you in a dead stop drag race.

That sounds great. I never see anyone around here ever racing anyway. I just want the acceleration for playing and wave jumping. I've already got a Worx grate on the way to keep it hooked and fed properly.

For the RXP you will need a 13/18 3 blade and 83 nozzle for hard acceleration. The Scat 13/18 is a direct stock replacement for the RXP. I ran it for a few years.

The 13/17 will require an 81mm nozzle to keep you off the limiter.

When you mention it's a direct replacement I get the impression it should perform the same way as a stock prop. How did it perform compared to your stock unit? Is the difference in acceleration noticeable?

    Your impression is correct.
It pulled MUCH harder than stock, I did have a 3" air intake at the time too. It's like comparing the skat 15/19 3 blade to a solas 14/19 4 blade, both fit the mods for the rpm needed, say 8100 rpm, the 4 blade would be faster on top about 1 mph, lets say 74mph.... but the 3 blade would get to it's top speed (73 mph) before the 4 blade got there. Same went for the stock prop vs the 13/18 but if I recall they were about the same speed but it felt way faster. Anyone that has ran the 3 blade will tell you it feels faster than it is.

    same info as above.
Both props were with the nose cone on.

    This prop kicks ASS!
It pulled 7600 rpm out of the hole & pulled better than the solas. From bottom to top, it was better! Smoother too.

I got this speed @ 8140-8160 rpm so I'll call it 8150 It pulled sustained 72.7's on the seat & I got the highest speed in superman. I didn't have any intensions on getting an IC anytime soon but I got one on the way now so this prop won't stick around either after the IC is installed.
Man, I need those Pro block offs bad...Once the ski starts to bounce it's all over till you slow down & re-coup..
Thank you for this info. It's what I was looking for.
It certainly appears that 13/18 is the way to go.
