    Need opinions on the rxpx

Hey guys, I been look on the forum at thread on rxpx. I want to know should I buy this ski? Looking to purchase a new ski in 48 hrs. I can't make my mind up between this ski or the fzr. I want to know the pro cons on this and performance parts that people place on the ski. Looking to reach for high number mph.. I ride 30% in ocean and 70% in the back bays /rivers. Thanks for you input, Alex

RXPX260 all the way. Fantastic in both environments, fuel efficient, fun to jump(decently balanced), handles like crazy, hull is easy to repair and plenty tough unlike the Nano hull from what I understand. Reverse/brake is fantastic and intuitive. Riding position is very good. Much better looking . Do a little searching, plenty of talk about both.

I have never ridden a SVHO FZR, but based on what I have read here, it's safe to say it has the acceleration advantage in stock form as well as being easier to mod for high speeds.

With that said the RXP-X seems to be the total package, and it certainly has PLENTY of power as well. I decided to take a gamble, and get a 14 RXP-X. I love it!!

Handles well, cuts chop, has power , and to me it's the best looking PWC right now.
I've put 54 hours on mine. Not a ton , but it hasn't missed a beat yet.

Both great ski's. I love speed and if that is what you are looking for, then the FZR is the one. Very easy to get into the mid 80's. That being said, I would not trade my Rxpx for anything else currently made. The Rxpx may be the best overall ski out there.

I've owned both and obviously there's pros and cons to both. If you're seeking a high peak speed through mods then the FZR is a better choice. The RXP hull has a lot of wetted area and takes much more power to get the next MPH. In my experience the RXP used about 20% more fuel (if that matters) than the FZR. If you like drag racing the FZR hull is quicker. The RXP was really designed for a closed course application and it is a thrill when turning at high speeds, especially in the chop. Good luck with your choice.

I'm at 93 hours ,and it's been great so far. I had no major issues or problems. My ski has Stage 1 upgrade on it! I had a little steering is off by dealer fixed it for free. I have been changing oil, filter, and spark plugs every 25hrs. I was worried about buying a Seadoo because of all the excessive electronics as well as the Super charger but I finally took the risk and haven't regretted it yet. Love it so far. I used to own 2009 Yamaha FXSHO but its little slow and boring! Seadoo holeshot is better and turns harder. iBR is the best feature on it for safety and easier to dock! Seadoo Rules! Good Luck on your purchase!

O.K. Now that is just cool!

I can't speak to the performance, but the comfort and and IBR would be enough to make me grab the PX between the two. I'm not sure if Doo's are still having intercooler issues, but I know the 2014 Yami's are having serious paint problems.
