    Salt water flushing

    Hey guys,

I am about to come to Miami for around 10 days and drive down from Toronto with the jet ski thanks to the Jetta TDI for burning so little diesel. Wanted to ask you guys about the rules for the Miami beach ramps and where to leave the jet sky. This is the first time to bring the jet sky in salt water. Will it be a problem if I don't flush it after I ride it but I will ride it every day and I`ll flush it when I come back home.

    Thank you

Coat metal parts with anti corrosion spray. Flush it with Salt Away after each use wherever you're staying.

Like guys have said here make sure spray down things with an anti-corrosive spray. Best is Fluid Film as it is lanolin based and wont harm plastics/rubber.
Rinse the exterior of the ski well and then flush the motor. I use liquid Dawn for engine/intercooler flush. I put a couple of ounces in the hose, hook it up, and let the engine run for 5-10 minutes at idle. you can dry and clean the ski while it runs. I take a plastic storage box and set it under where the pump/ehaust discharge the warm water and throw my gloves, wetsuit, etc. in it and let it fill with the soapy water.
Also make sure and give your trailer and axle a good rinsing with fresh water.
Do not wait to clean/rinse/flush. Not a good idea at all.

Get that insurance like guys say ski's are HOT property in Miami area lately.

    Good luck and have fun.

Hotbutta a good friend pulls with a TDI wagon, 2011 model and gets about 32 mpg while towing.

Make sure you lock your skis, do not leave them outside where people can see it. Do not leave it on parking lots. Do not leave at ramps. Not in hotel parking even if its under roof. Lock them or loose them. My advice. Make that your first priority.

Like the others have said lock everything and make sure it insured. I locked my skis with cables and locked the trailer to my new car with a chain in Hollywood FL. and they stole my car and skis. I flew back home with my back pack.

If staying at a hotel in Fort Lauderdale any recommendations what to do with the skis beyond leaving them in the parking lot?

guys i need some help. where can I park my jet sky in Miami beach while I am on the beach. Everywhere it seems it`s a swim area and the guard told me to get off or 400$ ticket. The rental place seems the only place to come and park the jet sky.. where else in Miami ?
