Water inlet filter
I have a 95 polaris slt750. What size is the water inlet hose i.d. I was thinking of buing a filter/strainer for the water inlet line to filter the water before it inters the engine.
Best place to get one and what kind and size, how to do it?
Any help would be great thanks

I believe it's a 3/4". Mcmaster Carr has this one CrazyA posted and I bought for $13.11 PN# 98775K46. You'll need 2 fittings PN# 5218K86 $1.12 ea. And if you need new fuel hoses. This is the place too. PN# 5187K63 prob need about 20' at .47 a ft.

Between the pump and the T, you want to filter ALL the water entering the engine. Mine is 3/4 on the inlet hose but I sure don't remember what size screen I went with.

Are you going to put a shut off valve in that bad boy? If you ever have some sort of water leak you can always shut off the valve and no more water.
