    Supercharger bearing sound normal?

Video is showing me spinning my supercharger that only has 10 hours on it since rebuilt.
Is it normal that is sounds like this or should it be quiet when spinning.

No, sounds like the bearings are complety dry. Try and lubricate the bearings with a few drops of oil and see if it still makes the same sound.

Turn the shaft slowly......does it turn smoothly?

I have trried to lubricate it but the oil just stays at the first bearing, not going down to the bearing closest to the impeller.
The sound seems to come from just that bearing and it could be dry.

If I turn it slowly it think it rotates smootly.

    Ho umh,

Did you end up finding out if this was normal. Mine is making a similar noise when spun in my hands. I am also trying to find a strange worn bearing type noise when the ski in under hard acceleration.

Does anyone know if the two could be linked? Or is this what the chargers should sound like?

    Thanks

Sounds normal to me. Adding oil into the bearing area of the supercharger will quiet it down some.
