Question Try to find engine and jet pump dimensions? Please give me yours!

    Hello everyone.
Hope I can get some help. Since I can't find any better place to ask.

I'm about to bye a 1:3 scale of a Goldfish 36 P1. And try to squeeze a PWC engine and jet pump in to it.
The boat will hold only 1 person.

But to find out if the engine compartment actually will hold a PWC power unit. I need to get some dimensions.

So if some have a tape measure, and can take some fast measures on your PWC I would really appreciate it.

I was thinking from the transomplate to the front of engine.
    And hight/width of engine.
And post what kind of PWC the dimensions are from.
(roughly dimensions +-1 inch are OK.)

Looks like you might have a project on your hands.
Here are the rough measurements from my 2007 Yamaha VX (4 stroke), 110 HP.
    Engine+Transom-plate = 64"
Engine width =24" (includes exhaust )
Engine width = 19" (raw engine only, exhaust box not included)
Engine Length = 30" (Excludes air box in front of engine)

Might want to investigate the power plants in the Seadoo or Yamaha jet boats

Hope this helps - Good Luck

    Thank you.

Looks like the seller was too optimistic in the ad. Telling it will be perfect with a JetSki plant in it.
Turns out the compartment are only about 27 inch long... And to get a person behind the screen the engine compartment can be stretched to maximum 47 inch.
Any powerplant out there that are short enough to fit that space?

So look like it's an impossible task to make this boat in to a PWC?

Any smal engine with a smal transom and/or stright axel/propeller that maybe fit?

    Any id's what might work?

My motor is a 4 stroke, 4 cylinder type for 3 seater PWC.
Any 2 stroke, 2 or 3 cylinder would be considerably smaller and lighter.
I see that your project would be only a 1 person capacity. You might want
to target a smaller PWC craft and engine and not a 3-up, 4 stroke PWC.

Maybe you can lift the engine and jet unit from an older pwc and transplant
*everything* engine, exhaust, fuel, wiring, etc, into your hull. Check your local
(Craigslist?) ads to get some in-person examinations of engines, mounts, jet, sizing, etc.
