    Svho drive chain defective

So I was driving my svho that had less than 40hours on it and I lost power in the middle of the Lake and I had a local Yamaha dealer look at it and said that the timing chain broke

LMAO ! I bet that same dealer calls our PWC a "bike".
You need to take it to someone that can give you a detailed explanation.
The only chain in that engine drives your cams.
Seek out another dealer if I was you.

Jesus Christ. The more I read this forum, I'm beginning to think I made a bad choice on buying the 14 fx svho I got... I've owned a lot of yamaha products in my life (sleds, ATV's, pwc's). Never had an issue with any of them aside from routine maintenance.
