    Rave valve hoses

the rave valve hoses melted on my 98 GSXL when it overheated and i replaced them with standard clear vinyl hoses, but the engine won't produce power at high rpm now so I wonder if the hoses are the problem ? I pulled the head and the cylinders and pistons look great.

Did you check the piece where it hooks to the crankcase and checkvalve?

Do you have exhaust/smoke in the hull when you start it? Id say you melted something else in the exhaust you haven't located yet... or the water regulator is messed up.
