    riva efi controller

Ok so I have the controller on a 05 1300 Gpr and seem to foul plugs crazy fast. Like 20 min fast. The ski is pre mix. Been mixing at 40:1. Yesterday I ran 89 instead of 87 to see how it would act. Not thinking, but that also richened it up probably. I pulled the plugs and they don't look crazy black like it rich. They are dark, not the golden brown like I would like them to be. Anyways I went to make adjustments on the controller and none of the lights are on. I bought the ski with it on and havnt messed with it so not sure if there supposed to be. I know the green light should be on at idle and the next two are for mid range and wot but if it wasn't working would the ski even run? I'm taking this from my motorcycle point with a power commander. It goes bad and bike won't start. Also the ski with fresh plugs runs perfect. Once they start to go it still runs good at wide open throttle. Has a bad hesitation on take off and if I hold it about mid throttle u can tell it's bogging out.

lights out is an indication the EFI controller is not working, however what are the current settings? have you check the connector for corrosion?
in your case 5-6-1-6 should work fine, assuming you have 150 on each cylinder.

Compression is 140 on each. Prox Pistons. Stinger exhaust. Rivas airfilter. Rivas ride plate. Solas prop. Pre mix 40:1, even adjusting the idle setting on the ski makes absolute no change at all. I would think u would be able to hear a sound change in the engine.

...indeed...the controller is not working. I would not run the ski especially since you're running FA's and (FreeFlow)? Check your ground wire on the controller also... . They tend to corode off and when they do the controller stops working and does not light up.

Checked the ground yesterday. Even ran another ground from battery straight to it and nothing. Another box will be ordered. Thanks for the tips.

So I'm guessing even tho the controller isn't working the ski will still run. That's the only thing that has me confused about it.

all the controller does is add fuel on top of factory setting on cdi. It will start and run fine. Just not getting the additional fuel.

the controller is needed to add fuel needed on low and mid , not high . yes it will run but if you like to cruise around 5 k rpm it will seize. like mention before do not run the ski w/o one, and the new ejk brand is hard to tune , very few people in here know the right settings.
i will try to located the link i had directly from ejk.
