2002 Genesis carburetor engine, does not run properly

I have had my Polaris for 5 years and never any problems. This year we took it out and was pulling three people on a large tube, this lasted for 30 min it then stopped working out in the middle of the lake. We thought it over heated, I think I flooded it trying to get it started again after an hour no go. I put new plugs and a new battery in and it started in my garage, ran for 20 seconds, I shut it off. Three weeks later I took it out, it started right away and I let it idle for 30 seconds in the water, I tried to increase the throttle, it died and I have not been able to get the darn thing to run. Much help needed!! I am an Autobody Mechanic and can do trouble shooting but this is a bit much. Any suggestions?

Ok, I have checked stator - OK measurements. By passed lanyard - no spark. By passed on/off switch still no ignition. I have noticed I can't smell any gas...so I checked fuel on down stream of on/off valve there is no gas being pumped out. Is this normal? Tried to force air through hose from vale to carbutetors with no luck, can it be plugged? I installed spark plugs back in that I know worked no ignition. The test for the CDI voltage! how do I perform that one, I looked all over but could not figure it out. The LED trick to read the trouble codes, I can't seem to find the 40 pin connector, maybe this is the wrong model for that. Any thoughts?

Do you know what type of fuel pump my jet ski would have? Where would it be located?

    Welcome

If your engine has carburetors then it is not Fuel injected model. The carburetor engines have dual fuel pumps integrated with the front and rear carburetors.

See my signature links for some useful info.
