    97 seadoo gsi bogging

so my 97 gsi was bogging like a son of a bitch and today I took it apart and sure enough the carb intake flange was cracked
saw a post regarding this from 2010 where the owners didn't know why the ski wouldn't go past 3800 rpm

my question is any clue if this can be welded ...is it aluminium or pot metal ?

    cheers

The carb is cracked? or the Rotary valve cover where the carb mounts to? Either way i wouldn't trust a weld, and a weld job will be more expensive than a replacement part. A rotary valve cover is only $100 (sbt), and used carbs are easy to come by on Ebay.
