I always go with 93 on any Seadoo Engines! 87 can damage the engine! It's best to run with Premium stuff!

I ran 87 in my RXP with no issues. 130hrs no prob. I cruised at 5000-5500RPM with short bursts of WOT and the odd 5-10mins of spins.

premium fuel has less ethanol. Don't cheap out for .20+ a gallon..specially on a supercharged engine.

Ethanol is essentially unavoidable in 87 octane in my area of Canada. Only certain brands of 91 octane are non-ethanol here.

I believe the percentage of ethanol is the same.

Ethanol varies from pump to pump and the gas isn't the cleanest, at least in FL.

Ethanol is regional. Regional in terms of the rules and in terms of the actual percentages in 'premium' gasoline grades.

In my region the 87 octane is all 10% ethanol. Some brands in my area taper the mid-grade 89 octane to 5% ethanol and the 91 octane gasoline has zero ethanol.

Other gasoline brands in my area put ethanol in everything but the percentage may be less than 10% in some octane grades above 87.

I had to actually telephone the customer service center for each major brand and ask them what the ethanol percentages were in each grade. Some of the call centers knew the answer right away, others had to 'get back to me'.

The staff at retail gas stations often have no clue about actual ethanol in the different grades and the stickers on the fuel pumps are rarely clear. 'May contain ethanol' is a useless answer for me.
