    Weird results from Worx grate.

I just tried out my new Worx grate on my 09 RXP. It kinda gave me the opposite results of what I was anticipating. It seemed slower out of the hole, and appeared to maybe be faster on top. I didn't use GPS but my Dreamo was pegged on 70 at about 7980 RPM whereas before I was usually bouncing between 68-69 at 8100 rpm. I wasn't expecting to lose RPM either. Another odd thing was that I was coming unhooked a lot more than before while doing speed runs on glass flat water.
I did fit it, when I installed it so that shouldn't be an issue. Anyone else have similar results? I will say that it did hook up better in the chop.

I fitted a worx grate to my 08px and it was faster out the hole, gained rpm, gained up top on gps and in the sea was by far best grate I tried on the Px.

So no one "with a 215" has had this same experience?

I just put an R&D on my 08 RXP 215. The grate loads the motor and glues the ski to the water-- it too feels slower from start to finish-- boggs the motor down actually and I think it may also be faster on the top end-- I did not pick up any RPM. My ski had a 255 setup installed with 160 thermostat and the usual mods. I put a rising rate regulator on it and an ET 140 LE in a few days ago-- the power pulls right through that spot now and the ski is very "rideable".

If you like the way the grate makes your ski feel, but want the zip it had with the stocker grate, you will either have to add power or repitch your impeller to get the zip back that way.

After riding it a few time since posting I'm starting to get used to the feel, and appreciate the benefits. I'm surprised at how different it makes it handle. I plan on adding a 3 blade prop in the spring.
