    Will a 1995 SL650 engine fit into a 1992 SL650 hull?

Just found out my 1992 sl650 has a cracked block.

    Got a lead on a 1995 sl650 engine with 110psi on it.

Would it bolt right in or is there other stuff I will need?

    It will bolt in.

The water cooling is simplified on the newer motor so make sure you get the water hoses hooked up properly.

Carb settings may be different for the newer engine, check the specs.

Possible the stator and flywheel will have to be changed I think 92 is analog and 94+ is digital ?

If your 92 ran good you can weld the case most times it's the lower case at pto end in the corner and very easy to weld just a thought

Yes it is at the drivers side rear where the crack is. Is this a common thing? Just trying to weigh out the costs. I can get the 95 engine for about $350 to my door. Or a used one on ebay for about $450 to my door that's the same year.

yes I have welded up a couple it's a lot cheaper 2 crank seals and weld the lower case even if you pay someone to weld it can't cost more than $20.00 30.00 and what ever the seals cost , lot cheaper than a motor plus you know what you have I hate buying a motor never know what your getting could have a hole in the piston and a screw in it bottom line is be carful if you pick up a motor
