01 polaris virage block off plate.

Hey guys I have a question, I just picked up my wife's ski today, and I was looking to do the block off plate to it. I have already have done it to my 00 virage with no issues to date. I have the twin cyl red top 700's. Now the question. I noticed what looks like an accelerator pump on the 01 model. Unlike my 00 model. Now is their a like running from that pump to the oil injection pump? And yes it has zero bottom end. I'm lucky to get it to idle. BUT it has the old gray tempo likes that WILL be replaced this Wednesday along with the hull patch work (was wrecked and neglected. Wrecked by the left sponson, no holes when I put it I. Water ) back on subject. I'm lost on the accel pump. Should I just replace with a earlier model carb w/I the pump and proceed with the block off? Or just do the block off and cap where the line runs to the oil injection pump? Ski is rebuild motor with low hours with almost 200 on hull. Any advice would be great. As my wife has some cleaning ahead of her, and I deal with the mechanical part of it. When I bought it I didn't notice the pump.

Thank you you for your time

sorry for any grammar mistakes as auto correct loves me on the iphone

There is no connection between the oil pump and the accelerator pump, other than both are connected to the throttle shaft/linkage.

The oil pump pumps oil. The accelerator pump pumps gasoline.

Look closely, i think you are seeing the oil line that goes to the MAG carb, it is close to the accelerator pump but infact its going into the carb.
