Swim step... Is it worth the extra weight?
I have never owned a boat with a swim step. Just thinking I could remove it to save a few pounds.

I really doubt it's going to make ANY difference.

If you ever ride double with a female...they like to use it as a urinal platform in an emergency !! No need to jump overboard when the water is cold.

I don't think a few pounds on this beast is going to make much difference, especially since it's in the rear of the ski and is "helping" to raise the bow. Plus, what Richard said

One of the features that I enjoy on this craft, is the boarding step. Of course if you are a racer I think it's mandatory to pull it off so that your ego will not suffer.

I think I'll keep it. It really makes getting on the pig a breeze. The women will appreciate it too.
