Impeller question: Solas YD-SC-XI
I bought this off of ebay. It was advertised as a Solas Concord YD-CD-13/19 for a 1997-1999 GP1200.
Everything I've read on the GP1200 is that this is too much prop for a stocker. Assuming I keep it, what would happen if I put this on a stock GP1200? What mods would be needed to make this beneficial? I know that's working backwards, but I'm not against going faster.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Too much for stock. Duke can pitch it to an XO. That's what I did with my XI

Aye having it repitched to xo specs would be the easiest bang for the buck. U you are not going to gain much top end speed with it. Will help holeshot alot tho.
Would be looking at all benificial carb mods to start, and prob more compression running on premium to spin that. I am speaking from things I have seen posted, no personal exp as I ride in the chop all the time, and rarely even see my top end of 63mph.
Edit: would want a better grate also.

Eh, it is not particularly hard but there is some skill and proper tools needed. Unless you were going to be doing it alot, best to just send it out, or find someone local. It not really that expensive. Shipping is the hardest part.
