    Fxho 160 hull

Is the fxho 160 on the year 2008 normal fibreglass hull and not nano hull . I'm lead to believe that all fxho 2005-2008 were Normal hulls . The fx sho 2008+ was nano hull and the fxho 1.8 09 + in nano hull is this correct

The "Top Speed" boat review states the 2008 FX HO hull is the NanoXcel.

"Exterior: Helping to deliver this stunning performance and economy of the 2008 Yamaha FX High Output is a new, super-light, super-tough hull and deck material called NanoXcel™ – a feature of all the latest FX models. The QSTS - Quick Shift Trim System, 18.5 gallons fuel capacity, huge watertight storage compartments, comfortable sports seat, beverage holders, handy re-boarding are good reasons to choose the FX High Output."

My brother has a 2006 and I have the 2008 FXHO. The ride of the 2008 with the nano hull is slightly different, since the hull is lighter and the ski sits higher in the water. The result is actually a slightly more bouncy ride. I actually prefer the ride of the older hulls, but if you like a sporty ride, then you will like the 2008 better.

Only other than there's nothing "super tough" about a nano hull , compared to the old regular hulls . There are a few things about a nano hull that you should avoid that you wouldn't have to worry about with a traditionally constructed hull .. Things like floating jet ski storage pontoons and roller placement and locations on trailers and the a much quicker wear rate it has on contact with sand.. I've seen people on here talk about never leaving it on the shore line, but rather using a sand anchor to moor it waist deep to prevent the abrasive effect on a nano hulls keel ..
