Thread: R&D Turbo 310R

    R&D Turbo 310R

My R&D Turbo is going to be installed next week. I'm crossing my fingers, but I would really like to see the 80MPH range. Anything over 78+ Would be awesome! I will keep you posted on testing and progress pictures.

I talked to Bill Chapin today and he was fine tuning my Ski how I brought it to him. He wanted to get it running as best as he could before he installed the Turbo. I ran my 310R several top speed runs before I sent it to Lake Havasu to have my R&D Turbo installed. I was running right at 8050 RPM, 73MPH, 250 elevation, 12% Humidly, 90+ deg. Today I was impressed to hear what he gained out of my ski. We changed the prop to a 13/19(from a 14/19), he tweaked the intake grate, fine tuned the ECU, added a coolant line, pump seal kit. My ski is now running a consistent 76.5MPH at 8100 RPM. The bottom/mid range is much more powerful. It's a lot hotter in Lake Havasu so I'm quite impressed with the numbers. He also played with the pump wedge. He took it in and out and tested it. He gained 1.2MPH by adding the wedge and lost when he took it out.

Here is an updated Parts List belowI will EDIT my parts list on anything that is removed or tuned when the Turbo is installed)

Oh. Lol. I was reading it and it didn't make sense that you have a 78 goal but you were doing 83 and got it fine tuned to 76.
    Good luck with the build.

Yah, 78 is my low goal when the Turbo is installed. I'd like to see 80, would be nice. My ski went to Havasu running 73 and with some fine tuning it's running 76.5 now. Turbo will go on mid next week. I'm hoping that some weekend testing will bring great news.

If you are after flat water speed, the RIVA plate will add speed at the cost of handling in both smooth and rough. That alone might get you to your 78 mph goal.

I have the R&D plate for now. 76.5 is great for my set up in running ATM. The 78-80 range I would like to see is when the Turbo gets installed. Only time will tell.

Do they have a turbo kit ok anyone else's kawasaki that is running right? Or will you be their tester? Pwc offshore guys had one that didn't work for whatever reason, I just figured if someone had one going they'd be bragging
