2006 Yamaha GP1300R not enough power

Just purchased this unit and we can't get rpm's or speed up. Took apart the unit thinking maybe it needed a d plate installed to only find out it has one it already. Any advise or help as we are new to the pwc world. It has 100 hrs and the guy we got it from said it would do 80 no problem.
Thank you in advance for any help.

we don't have a means to check it right now as the closest repair shop is 4 hrs away.

Is there an auto zone? they will loan you for free a compression tester.
Unless it has had some serious work to it you might see high 60's or low 70 maybe. Has it ever run good for you when you gave it a test ride? What do the plugs look like? Post pictures. Check the pump and see if there is anything stuck in there

I believe compression is good as it has intermittent full power but then bogs down like it would be when you have bad fuel. Fresh fuel didn't help. All sensors tight and good.

You really need to check the compression and the plugs. Will tell you a lot about what is going on possibly.

Hello & welcome to the Hulk & the ski world. I am not wanting to burst your uforic bubble ... but that ski as is & in stoke form has never ran nor will it ever run over 70 mphs GPS. Now it is very possible to get it to high 70's & 80 mps/GPS but it will take a lot of $$ and work. The parts are out there & still available, they are DIY mods that will get you started. Please note & understand the "dream-o-meter" on your ski will almost always read any where from 10 to 15 mphs higher than actual run speed. You can purchase an non expensive GPS on line for less than $100. That will tell you where you really are at. My guess it is a low time ski & in top shape son getting 63 to 67 mph/GPS will be where you will come in at. Good Luck
