    12v Outlet for glovebox

Quick question here. Is there something overly special about the kit seadoo sells for the 12v outlet in the glovebox? I only ask because after watching videos on it and looking at the kit it looks really basic. The kit they provide essentially is just a power line run off the battery. So why not just buy a marine grade 12v outlet for 7-9 bucks and a 2 pin flat connector like most already have installed for their battery tender? Obviously a fuse inline, but most cabling from battery tender is fused. So what am I missing? The total kit would maybe 24 dollars.

Well I purchased everything. I'll post up some pictures of the install into the spark and RXT.

Parts are slowly coming in. I'll post up pics once I get everything in. Got the battery tender and cable in today though.

So I got the battery tender in the mail and the extra 2 pin flat battery connector. So I figured I might as well install them and get a feel for how the USB charger install will be on the spark. Started off pretty simply by locating the battery.

Then I installed the battery tender 2 pin flat connector onto the battery.

Then I routed it up and through this grommet that is behind the white trim
panel on the drivers left side:

    Here is the connector routed:

That is it for now. Still waiting on the battery tender extension and USB/ Cigarette lighter outlet to show up. Once they get here I'll finish the install and post up pics.
