    Injector Size

    Ok Guys,

Finally going stand alone ECU, and I'm wanting to get some feedback on injector size. I think I already know the answer to my question but many heads are sometimes better than 1.

It's for my Turbo GPRXP conversion running 25psi through a GT3076 turning upto 10,000rpm.

    2 Options I'm looking at,

Run Pump Gas 98 or Race gas.

    Or run E85.

How big an injector would you run for the Pump/Race Gas and how big an injector for the E85. Or would you run an injector big enough to run E85 and then just change tunes to suit different gas.

I'm thinking that an injector to handle the E85 is going to have to be around 1400-1500cc.

    Any input is welcome.

    Mark.

    pump 98 (93 usa) is a joke
pump fuel not usable past 15psi sure you can run 18 but it will make the about the same HP as 15
    25psi on e85 will need minimum real 1200cc injectors run at 4 bar ( I suggest id2000's)

pump e85 is a real 100+ octane and it will not perform as good as c16 @ 25psi

you will find the lower rpms is where you get the most detonation

for rec riding use e85, for racing use RACE gas

if using a motec get a 9 position switch for boost control and map control

    Thanks Chris.

What is your recommendation on injector size if I dedicated it to Race Gas.

And where would you limit the ignition advance to at low rpm and high rpm.

same you will want more than 1000cc
2000 cc injectors will have a hard time below 2000rpms on race/pump fuel
I like bosch racing 1150cc injectors they only come in ev1 connectors
    I have ran them up to 25psi on e85 @ 105%DS

Five 0 have an "Black Ops" injector which comes with a wireless adaptor to suit EV1 plugs. Sizes available right up to 1600cc. I will check their list for the Bosch.

    IMO your gambling with 5-o
    or any modified injector
if you get modified injectors have them flowed by a local shop before you install them
most modified injectors flow the max no problem
the problem is they may not flow close at low flow

I think these would be the perfect drop in for me.

Are those injectors rated as 110lb at 4 bar or 3?
