Please help guys! Rxdi will only run with one plug installed. :(

Hi guys, took my seadoo 951 rxdi out for a wakeskating session. We where out for around 1hr 30mins and it just cut out!

Both plugs are giving of a spark, if i take plugs out I can see fuel vapor. But if I crank it it will turn over no problem but tries to start now and again but just won't fire up! If I take out front spark plug ( one closest to the fuel tank) it will fire up stright away on one cylinder! And sounds fine. As soon as I put the front plug back it it just keeps turning over and won't fire up!

    Any ideas guys?

    Thanks jamie

I'm sure one of the fist questions some of the more 2stroke mechanically inclined is gona ask is, did you check the compression?

I had a rfi that would run on 1 cylinder, when I got it home it ended up showing 30 psi in the other cylinder

    Yeah both 140psi mate.

Try different plugs, just because the fire when under no load doesn't mean they will when under load, first place to start

Since you had one good cylinder you might want to switch air inyectors and coils just to start disipating the fault. Also you can remove the throttles and inspect your reed valves for any bent or broken part.

    Hope this helps.

I believe the di only idles on one cylinder to conserve fuel

Doesn't matter these days. You can check the plug by ohming it out. I've had them run fine until the plug heats up and then start reading megaohms to ground, which grounds out the spark.. Also check stator output and battery voltage while running.
