Polaris SLH 700 year 2000. Battery help

I have recently brought a polaris slh 700 year 2000 I am trying to find out if the battery I have on it is the right battery. Does anyone know what battery is fitted when new. And if anyone has any manuals i.e service and owners manual will be really appreciated. Many thanks

The original is a flooded lead acid battery, style YB16CL-B.

If I was shopping for a replacement, I would get something better, like a AGM battery. Follow the recommendations here cause these guys know what they are talking about.

Yes thanks a lot for your help really appreciate it. Also I am using a mixture of 40:1 ratio for premix is this mixture ok? I have seen other posts saying to use 50:1.
    Many thanks

40:1 seems to be what most pre-mix guys are using.

Personally I much prefer the oil injection system. Reliable if it is properly maintained. Uses half the oil and much less exhaust smoke. And way less hassle when refueling on the water.

Had the ski out today and rubs perfectly!!! Thanks for the help so far! But now after today another problem occurred, my trim nozzle grounded out on a sand bank and snapped the linkage from the bottom of the trim motor. The linkage arm is still ok and in tact but I need the bottom of the trim motor which is on the underside of the ski! Any ideas???

    What exactly is broken?

You can probably find or buy a trim motor that has seized and extract the parts you need.

There is a very good how-to thread describing how to disassemble and repair these trim motors.

It is broken where the linkage arm is bolted onto the ski. There is a bolt that screws the linkage to the bottom of the motor. It's a plastic piece. Sorry not very technical but not sure what that part is actually called
