Need advice on fuel pump for rxp
2004 Rxp with 440 hours on it. Stock motor.
It would not start, so I brought it in to my dealer. He said he checked the fuel pump and it is bad.
quoted me $577 for the fuel pump assembly, plus labor.
I told him I would come and get it and source the part on my own.
I need to find a fuel pump, have any ideas ?
Also, it look pretty easy to get that assembly out of there excpet for that quick connect connector from the pump to the injectors. how do I get that sucker off there?

As long as your replacing the fuel pump you may want to replace the filters also...

There is very few dealers I trust especially large ones ,There is too many people from service writer to service manager ,then finally mechanic. Its possible fuel pump is bad ,Remove the high pressure hose with a 2.00 fuel injector connection remover from auto parts or use a small set of needle nose pliers inserting each side under the plastic strips on each side of connector .Did you check fuel pump pressure? or grounds for corrosion,There is many things a seadoo Buds system can detect, yet there is many things that need just mechanical ability. If you are not real comfortable with your mechanical ability find someone who is or a dealer where you can talk to mechanic(very few).If your mechanical ability is good you can find most answers here or on web.First off use seadoo online shop manuals, and this forum, searches can and do help here,Have a great day>Marvin

Will the Rxpx 2012 fit on my 2004 RXP?
Are the connections the same?

For 04 you have a full size Pump. For Jeff C the housings changed to the compact pump in 08. while you can stuff the larger pump into the plastic housing or cut out part, I opted for the correct size pump from DW (DW65, Aeromotive also has good stuff). Not sure why here but I'm in the performance car biz and the cheap guys buy the Walbro for their Hondas. We would never install a Walbro in the dozens of turbo and supercharged setups we sell. Failure rate is way too high. We cant have a customer car blow up, nor do I want my ski to.

Ok, I got the pump assembly unbolted, but I cannot seem to get it out, not enough room in there. From what I can see, the glove box would be a good spot to pull that assembly through to get it out. Am I on track or is there something else that someone has tried that worked.
