lack of oil, or bearings to tight or oil pump went out. Did he plastigage the bearings for correct clearance.

Those rods are scrap now

Well those probably are, but not all damaged rods are scrap, send them back to Carrillo they will rebuild them for ALOT less then you will pay for new ones

I bet 1 whole dollar that the rod that's been blued was the number 2 cylinder.
Re-rebuilds are never any fun....i feel your pain. The best place for those, is hung up on the wall in your shop to remind you how much fun rebuilds are...

There all discolored and destroyed probably along with the crankshaft. Not just #2
