2013 RXPX with VTECH 8375 tune only pulling 8140??

Put a VTECH 8375 tune on my TOTALLY stock 2013 RXP-X 260. The first day I did the tune I was able to see 74mph blip once and about 8350 RPMs. (have never verified with GPS). Have not seen that RPM or speed again. Today was out hammer on a smooth river with it to the bar for a long stretch and only saw 8140 at 70mph (dream o meter) with 1/2 tank of gas. Seems if I could get the 8375 my speed would increase ANY THOUGHTS?

Heat will kill RPM's. Supporting mods will help, also a good GPS. What kind of temps were you riding in? Water temp?

What was probably low to mid 70's are temp a sticky 85 here in upstate NY. What "supporting" mods to you suggest?

Supporting mods and a Fizzle intercooler will show decent gains. Heat soak is a bitch

That sounds about right in heat with a stock prop. You have to allow these things to rev to really bring on the power. It requires retainers/springs, a larger intake and most likely get some cool air to the motor to get there. Then you play with the prop till your sphincter starts making your wallet uncomfortable.

Make sure you have data logging when you get to this level.

I have found with the newer Seadoo supercharger washers, the slip needs to be reset around 20 hrs. After that, they should be good to go till around 100hrs.

Just using a 8375 tune doesn't make it spin to 8375. As a matter of fact, if you had an 8375 tune and were turning 8375, that would be bad. You should be at least 100-150rpm below said tune.

For a bone stock ski with only an 8375 tune, you are right about where you should be (the 74mph gauge part). However, 70mph on dash gauge is low if you tested in perfectly smooth calm water.

Do you have a 4" air setup and FPR? If not, this will get you what you desire.
