Did you make a typo and say WEEKS instead of YEARS...

Even my rental seadoos never got this bad. Id follow the above advice and get a SS wear ring...but i would first seriously consider changing my riding habits

Even without that missing chunk that wear ring is destroyed. Wow. Like Sturm asked...what does your impeller look like?

Make sure rear 3 bolts are torqued down tight.

Seen this from a floppy pump before, but not the chunk

If a driver would trash his car-bumper, would you recommend him to go with a beefier one?
Learn to use it the right way instead.

I would almost agree with your analogy, except the spark wear ring is crap.
    1) It flexes
    2) If you get something in it, that something will trash your wear ring and maybe punch holes in it.
    3) once broken, you are not going home.

The wear rings in other seadoo products are a sleeve inside the pump. In this case it is the pump.
