frozen boost ICer questions for the pros

first off please forgive me for being a kawi guy over here in the seadoo section but lets face it there's plenty more people who have used this cooler on this side so my chances of getting a good answer are better.

so first the problem. I've been chasing a what i thought was a boost leak for quite some time. its been gradual over time but boost keeps getting lower. before we go too far i've checked the whole clamps, hoses, clamps, BOV, clamps again and again and again.

i've cleaned this cooler quite a few times as well but tonight i got to wondering if these cheapo coolers just start to fall apart in some way internally cooling fin wise after time and create some pretty big pressure drop across them or if anyones experienced something similar with a frozen boost cooler.

i suspect the only way to check pressure drop across it would be to put a gauage on the inlet side as i know the pressure on the other side is low.

    anyone else got any suggestions

    thanks
    Mike

    BOV can be leaky
weather makes a big difference in boost
Iv used Chinese ICs with big boost
if they spring a leak/break you will know it

If the intercooler is not clogged or leaking then you should look elsewhere IMO. Pull the intercooler, inspect it and pressure test it.

I had a cooler from Fizzle rot out last season, it was a couple seasons old but it developed a leak and was filling my motor with water, if they leak you will know it. I replaced it with a cooler from Frozen boost and it was a direct fit replacement.

The one you have is the same design as the old Fizzle cooler.
