    2001 GTX DI cranks, won't start

    I have a 2001 GTX DI that cranks and does not start. I've checked for fuel, spark, and combustion, good on all 3. The pressure was 130/131lbs for cylinder 1 and 2. I sprayed stater fluid into the intake and it starts up for a short amount of time, then dies. I tried revving the throttle after spraying the starting fluid in the intake and it revs, then dies again. It won't start unless I'm spraying starter fluid, which makes no sense because the fuel is being delivered and the pressure is good. I don't think there are any issues with the pump, it hums nicely when I put the key on. I also get the 2 beeps when putting on the key. Any help is greatly appreciated. I'm new to the forum. I received the jet ski from my uncle, he hasn't rode it in 2 years. It was garage kept and he let me have it as it was collecting dust. Had no issues prior 2 years ago when he rode it last. He can't ride anymore due to a bad hip. I put fresh gas in there, changed the battery, changed the plugs, and now I'm looking for help as I'm at wits end regarding what to do next.     First thing is you need to stop spraying starter fluid. It washes the oil off the rings and lower end resulting in damage from improper oiling.

    You say you checked for fuel? How? Have you ensured fuel is actually being injected into the cylinders,

    You will need to download the service manual from seadoomanulas.com (not 100%) check Air and fuel pressure as it sounds like thats where your going wrong.

    I removed the plugs, tried starting, I could see the fuel shooting into the cylinder and also being expelled through the plug hole as the cylinder pumped.

    Yeah, the fuel system injects directly into the cylinder, so when the plugs are in it needs high pressure to overcome the compression pressure. With the plugs out, you just have to overcome atmospheric pressure.

    Basically you need to put a fuel filter inline between the fuel filter and the injector rail. Take note that we are talking over 100psi here so be careful.

    I'm betting fuel pressure too low to start up. Probably still wearing it's original factory installed fuel filters too.
