    GP760 Choke Butterfly Poston

I got a choke cable for my 97 gp760 and the cable was off a 98 gp760. Anyway the choke seems to be partially on when I install the cable. I'm not sure if it's supposed to be like this ot not. I know the 760's are different than the 701 as they have 44's and staggered jetting. This is my first 760.

The choke isn't engaged technically, but is not in the vertical open position.
