HELP new to jetski need some help!!! 2005 gp1300r

Im looking to buy a 2005 gp1300r that's for sale in my area. What are some of first things i should check before i buy the ski? Its all bone stock and has 55 hours on the original engine. If anyone could give me so pointers of what to check before buying it would be greatly appreciated.

Also how much do you guys thinks its worth??

Worth is based on many factors including condition, demographics and what you are willing to pay. As far as a check on 2 strokes, I always checked compression, inspected pump housing, pump tunnel, bottom of hull, prop and wear ring, ease of steering and reverse cables (if equipped) and how easy it cranks. Pre-installed D-Plates and Wave eater clips would be optimal but you did say it was bone stock so that's probably not going to be an option.

Welcome to the Hulk. As a new Yami GP owner, this will be your new home LOL. You might want to consider purchasing your own compression gage, they are about $50. for a good one from sears. Also pawn shops have some good deals on them. After you get it home .... you will have several questions about it (performance, maintenance etc. ), just ask us here on GH.
There are several 2 stroke owners out there. Good Luck
