Introducing the new line up of 2015 Kawasaki Jetskis

I recently had the opportunity to travel to San Diego and ride the new 2015 Kawasaki Jetskis and wanted to share a few pics with you guys. I couldn't have asked for more perfect weather or a more suitable ski to blast through the ocean. We got to ride around Mission Bay, but the real treat was getting out in the ocean and blasting up the coastline. This is where you really get a feeling for what these skis are built for. The way these 310's eat up the ocean is beyond amazing. Not only is the handling incredible the fit and finish of these Kawasaki's is truly first class. I could not find a single negative about any of the skis I rode. The low end power produced by these Eaton supercharged engines is incredible. Lots of power on tap to get these skis out of the hole and accelerate to top speed in seconds.

Speaking of Kawasaki quality, I had the pleasure of touring the assembly plant last year. In case you guys missed that post be sure to check it out here. It's really something to see. Kawasaki offers tours to the general public so if you are ever around Lincoln Nebraska do yourself a favor and stop by:

    POWERTRAIN
With 310hp1 on tap, the 1,498cc engine fed by the Digital Fuel Injection(DFI®) system is the reigning king of thrust and the basis for an open-water, race-winning powerplant. Its crown is the high-tech Eaton TVS-series supercharger, which adds exhilarating yet linear powerexactly what hardcore performance enthusiasts would expect from a Kawasaki Jet Ski watercraft.
If strong acceleration is your idea of a good time, Ultra 310X and its fuel-injected, DOHC, inline four-cylinder engine offer plenty of entertainment with thrilling performance like no other PWC on the water. The roots-type Eaton Twin Vortices Series (TVS) supercharger uses a pair of four-lobe rotors to boost engine output. The key lies in its fixed-displacement design, which produces large quantities of boost at all engine speeds, from idle to redline. It gives the 310X a flat torque curve and linear power across the rev range. Yes, the 310Xis quick, but it’s also smooth!
TheUltra 310X PWC offersseamless power delivery thanks to its ability to force compressed air through the engine at a steady rate, instead of in waves, likesome other superchargers. And its liquid-cooled intercooler helps cool the compressed air as it enters the combustion chambers. Cooler air equals more power. It’s as simple as that.
Several other key components combine to move the Ultra 310X engine to the next level. Its output is achieved through friction-reducing mechanicals as well as several components that add to its incredible power and durability. For example, the 310X features a specially shaped intake manifold that is long and slimto increase low- and mid-range power.
The impressivepowerisenhancedby a high-flow fuel pump, andKawasaki also incorporated a clever Fuel Economy Assistance mode in the Electronic Control Unit (ECU), to significantly increase the range of the Jet Skiwatercraft for long-distance riding.
Ultimate performance is nothing without rock-solid reliability, and the 310X engine was built from bottom to top for long-lasting durability. Kawasaki engineers were relentless in this pursuit to take the admirable attributes to higher levels, and going through the 310X engine with the proverbial fine-toothed comb yielded the highest-performing engine in the industry.
For starters, the 310X pistons have a V-groove in the second ring land (between the top and second grooves) for more consistent oil retention at high loads. To increase piston cooling, an oil jet system cools the undersides of the pistons and incorporate two jets per piston. Baffles in the oil pan help prevent oil from accumulating during tight turns ineither sudden acceleration or deceleration, and the crankcase has larger return holes to facilitate oil return.
The engine water jacketis made from a thick material for superior cooling performance. It features a check-valve that opens when the engine is running, but closes when it is stopped to keep the engine cool without over-cooling.
The 310X has a knock sensor that helps toprotect the engine by retarding ignition to suppress abnormal combustion. The system activates a buzzer and the condition is indicated on the instrument panel to warn the rider.
A perfect example of Kawasaki’s advanced engineering lies in the Ultra 310X super-efficient oil cooler, which helps minimize engine temperatures by circulating oil between two cooling jackets. The result is class-leading 310hp that’s alsoutterly reliable.

    ELECTRONICS
An impressive collection of electronics is standard issue on the Ultra 310X. Naturally, Kawasaki’s high-tech ECU is the command center of the entire system. It coordinates the DFI® injectors and throttle body to route the optimum amount of fuel into the combustion chambers, with help from the Electronic Throttle Valve (ETV) system.
The ETV converts the rider’s throttle inputs into electronic signals that are passed on to the throttle body. This helps ensure the engine receives the ideal fuel and air mixture exactly when the rider needs it.
The Ultra 310Xhas advanced rider aidsfor a range of riding modes. A few examples include the Fuel Economy Assist mode for maximum economy, which switches the ECU to a fuel map that focuses on optimal gas mileage. There is also a one-touch 5mph mode for no-wake zones and a convenient Electronic Cruise Control system to set a steady cruising speed when touring. The Smart Learning Operation, or SLO-Mode,reduces engine output so newer riders can become familiar with the handling and response of the Jet Ski watercraft at a more relaxed pace. The customer is provided withtwokeys, one for SLO mode and the other for full-power operation, to help prevent confusion over which setting is in use.
Furthermore, the electronics package includes a smart Economical Riding Indicator on the digital display. This informs the rider when the engine is operating in the most fuel-efficient manner, such as when planing at speeds where hull resistance is substantially reduced.

    HULL AND DRIVETRAIN
Electric Trim Control (ETC) is another example of the advanced technology Kawasaki engineers packed into the Ultra 310X. ETC allows the rider to control the nozzle angle of the 160mm jet pump to adjust the hull attitude to suit both water surface conditions and riding style. The system has a plus-or-minus range of 8-degrees and allows the Ultra 310X hull to take full advantage of its razor-sharp handling characteristics.
An advanced impeller design, with precisely engineered blade angles, givesrapid acceleration.Whether accelerating, cruising or at high speed, horizontal guide “vanes” on the propulsion grate improve hull tracking and reduce cavitation during acceleration for better hook-up. It’s one more detail thatcontributes to the most advanced production watercraft propulsion system in the industry.
Therace-derived Ultra 310X fiberglass-reinforced hull, which is finished in Ebony and Metallic Phantom Silver, is meticulously designed to be both incredibly strong and surprisingly light. Special reinforcement inside the hull helps it retain strength so its overall thickness can be optimized for less weight, which aids maneuverability. The hull also features two dedicated flushing ports for easy maintenance of the engine and intercooler.

    LCD DISPLAY
When designing the Ultra 310X, Kawasaki knew it was equally important to ensure the cockpit and rider accommodationwas useful and comfortable. This included aclear instrument panel with an LCD information screen that looks good and is easy to monitor.
Aided by a visor for reliable viewing in sunny conditions, the highly legible LCD display boasts a face design with a fuel consumption function that can display gallons per hour or gallons per minute, a boost meter scale and riding-mode display, along with a range of other functions, including clock, trip and hour meter; digital or bar-graph tachometer, water and air temperature gauges, speedometer and max-speed functions. This interface makes it easier for the rider to track the vital signs of theUltra 310X.

    CAPACITY
With 20.6 gallons of fuel capacity – the most in its class – the Ultra 310X allows plenty of range for long-distance rides. Up front, a handy storage bin located under the cowl has a generous 54-gallon capacity, and the center console has detachable, dual drink holders to keep refreshments within easy reach.
The total combined storage capacity for the Ultra 310X is an industry-leading 56 gallons, so you really can take everythingwith you!
The Kawasaki Jet Ski name is legendary in the personal watercraft world for good reason, and the Jet Ski Ultra 310X PWC lives up to its name by pushing the envelope of performance and versatility.

1 Horsepower measured in PS at the crankshaft under controlled conditions. Actual performance may vary.
The JETSOUND system is a bold move, but that should hardly come as a surprise. After all, who else would have the confidence to plant a supercharged inline four-cylinder engine, capable of a brawny 310 horsepower[1], into a precise-handling luxury hull designed to haul three adults in supreme comfort while carrying a class-leading storage payload? Kawasaki did, and the Ultra 310LX epitomizes the perfect blend of luxury and performance.

    POWERTRAIN
With 310 horsepower1 on tap, the Ultra 310LX has a 1,498cc inline four-cylinderDOHC enginewith DFI® (Digital Fuel Injection) that puts all other luxury watercraft to shame, and is the basis for an open-water, race-winningpowerplant. It propelsits race-derived hull design, which is easily able to carve precise turns in calm or rough water.
The engine offers tremendous thrust thanks to its roots-type Eaton Twin Vortices Series (TVS) supercharger. This supercharger features a pair of four-lobe rotors to boost engine output. The key lies in its fixed-displacement design, which produces large quantities of boost at all RPM, from idle to redline, giving the Ultra 310LX a flat torque curve and linear power across the rev range.
Ultra 310LX hasseamless power delivery due to its ability to channel compressed air through the engine at a steady rate, instead of in waves, as other superchargers do. And its liquid-cooled intercooler helps to cool the compressed intake charge as it enters the combustion chambers. Cooler air equals denser air, which means less power is lost to performance robbing engine heat.
The Ultra 310LX benefits from many key components being incorporated into the design and build of this machine. For example, the 310LX features a specifically shaped intake manifold that is long and slim to increase low-mid range power, while power and impressive fuel efficiency are achieved via a high-flow fuel pump. Kawasaki’s Fuel Economy Assistance mode in the Electronic Control Unit (ECU) significantly increases range for long-distance riding.
The Ultra 310LX engine was built for long-lasting durability in a supercharged application. For starters, the 310LX’s pistons have a V-groove at the second ring (between the top and second ring grooves) for more consistent oil retention at high loads. To aid piston cooling, the oil jet system that cools the undersides of the piston crowns uses two jets per piston rather than just one for enhanced performance. Baffles in the oil pan prevent oil from accumulating on one side of the pan during tight turns or sudden acceleration or deceleration, and the crankcase also has large return holes to facilitate oil return to the pan.
The engine water jackets are thick for optimum cooling performance, and feature a check-valve that opens when the engine is idling or stopped, but closes when it is running to keep the engine cool without over-cooling. The 310LX also incorporates a knock sensor that improves engine protection by retarding ignition to suppress abnormal combustion – or engine knock – if it should occur. The system activates a buzzer and the condition is indicated on the instrument panel to warn the rider.
A perfect example of Kawasaki’s engineering know-how lies in the Ultra 310LX’s super-efficient oil cooler, which helps minimize engine temperatures by circulating oil between two cooling jackets. The result is 310 class-leading horsepower that’s also stone-reliable.

    ELECTRONICS
An impressive collection of futuristic electronics is standard on the Ultra 310LX. Naturally, Kawasaki’s high-tech Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is the command center of the entire system. The ECU coordinates the injectors and throttle bodies of Kawasaki’s highly advanced DFI to route the optimum amount of air/fuel mixture into the combustion chambers with help from the Electronic Throttle Valve (ETV) system, which converts throttle lever inputs into electronic signals that are then passed on to the throttle body.
Ultra 310LX has technologically superior rider aidsfor a range of riding modes. A few examples include the Fuel Economy Assist mode for maximum economy, which switches the ECU to a fuel map that focuses on gas mileage. There is also a one-touch 5mph mode for no-wake zones and a convenient Electronic Cruise Control system to set a steady cruising speed when touring. The Smart Learning Operation, or SLO-Mode, reduces engine output so newer riders can become familiar with the handling and response of the Jet Ski watercraft at a more relaxed pace. The customer is provided withtwo keys, one for SLO-Mode and the other for full-power operation, to help prevent confusion over which setting is in use.
Furthermore, the electronics package includes a smart Economical Riding Indicator on the digital display. This alerts the rider when the engine is operating in the most fuel-efficient manner, such as when planing at speeds where hull resistance is substantially reduced.
Electric Trim Control (ETC) is another example of the advanced technology that Kawasaki engineers have packed into the Ultra 310LX. The ETC allows the rider to control the nozzle angle of the 160mm jet pump to adjust the hull attitude to suit both water surface conditions and riding style. The system has a plus-or-minus range of eight degrees, and it allows the Ultra 310LX’s hull to take the fullest advantage of its razor-sharp turning characteristics.
An advanced impeller design uses blade angles that provide superb acceleration out of the hole.During acceleration, when cruising or at high speed, horizontal guide “vanes” on the propulsion grate help with hull tracking and reduce cavitation during acceleration for better hook-up. It’s just one more detail item that adds up to the most advanced production watercraft propulsion system in the industry.
The Ultra 310LX’s race-derived, fiberglass-reinforced hull is meticulously designed to be both incredibly strong and surprisingly light. Special reinforcements inside the hull help it to retain strength so that its overall thickness can be optimized for low weight, which aids in maneuverability. The hull also features an ingenious cleaning system with a two-circuit design, with each circuit utilizing a dedicated flushing port for easy maintenance. Edgy-styled contours and nose trim combine to give the Ultra 310LX’s bow a sleek and aggressive look.

1 Horsepower measured in PS at the crankshaft under controlled conditions. Actual performance may vary.

    POWERTRAIN
The 2015 Kawasaki Jet Ski Ultra 310X astonishes with 310 horsepower[1]thanks to an engine that is the basis for an open-water, race-winning powerplant. It propels the sporty-handling hull that’s capable of tackling rough water with ease, or comfortably hauling three adults in addition to an impressive payload. Power, handling, versatility – the Ultra 310X brings it in ways the PWC competition simply can’t.
With 310 horsepower1 on tap, the Ultra 310X’s Digital Fuel Injected (DFI®) 1,498cc engine is the reigning king of thrust, and its crown is the high-tech Eaton TVS series supercharger. The superchargergives the engine exhilarating yet linear power, and its race-derived hull design is capable of carving precise turns in a wide range of water conditions, from sheet-glass to chopped-surf; exactly what hard core PWC performance enthusiasts would expect from a Kawasaki Jet Ski watercraft.
If strong acceleration is your idea of a good time, then the Ultra 310X, and its fuel-injected, DOHC, inline four-cylinder engine offer plenty of entertainment with a pulse-quickening performance like no other PWC powerplant on the water. Its roots-type Eaton Twin Vortices Series (TVS) supercharger uses a pair of four-lobe rotors to boost engine output. The key lies in its fixed-displacement design, which produces large quantities of boost at all rpm, from idle to redline. It gives the 310X a flat torque curve and linear power across the rev range. Yes, the 310Xis quick, but it’s also smooth!
The Ultra 310X hasseamless power delivery thanks to its ability to channel compressed air through the engine at a steady rate, instead of in waves, as other superchargers do. And its liquid-cooled intercooler helps to cool the compressed intake charge as it enters the Ultra 310X’s combustion chambers. Cooler air equals denser air, which means less power is lost to performance robbing engine heat.
The 310X features an intake manifold that is long and slim to increase low-mid range power, while power and greater fuel efficiency are achieved via a high-volume fuel pump. Kawasaki’s Fuel Economy Assistance mode in the Electronic Control Unit (ECU) significantly increases range for long-distance riding.
Ultimate performance is nothing without rock-solid reliability, and the 310X engine was built from the bottom to top for long-lasting durability in a supercharged application. The 310X’s pistons have a V-groove at the second ring (between the top and second ring grooves) for more consistent oil retention at high loads. To aid piston cooling, the oil jet system that cools the undersides of the piston crowns uses two jets per piston rather than just one for enhanced performance. Baffles in the oil pan help prevent oil from accumulating on one side of the pan during tight turns or sudden acceleration or deceleration, and the crankcase also has large return holes to facilitate oil return to the pan.
The engine water jackets are thick for optimum cooling performance, and they feature a check-valve that opens when the engine is idling or stopped, but closes when it is running to keep the engine cool without over-cooling. The 310X also incorporates a knock sensor that improves engine protection by retarding ignition to suppress abnormal combustion – or engine knock – if it should occur. The system activates a buzzer and the condition is indicated on the instrument panel to warn the rider.
A perfect example of Kawasaki’s engineering know-how lies in the Ultra 310X super-efficient oil cooler, which helps minimize engine temperatures by circulating oil between two cooling jackets. The result is 310 class-leading horsepower3 that’s alsototally reliable.
Last on the powertrain list is an advanced impeller design with specifically designed blade angles for better acceleration out of the hole.During acceleration, when cruising or at high speed, horizontal guide “vanes” on the propulsion grate improve hull tracking and reduce cavitation during acceleration for better hook-up. It’s just one more detail item that adds up to the most advanced production watercraft propulsion system in the industry.

    ELECTRONICS
An impressive collection of futuristic electronics is standard on the Ultra 310X.
Ultra 310X has technologically superior rider aidsfor a range of riding modes.
Electric Trim Control (ETC) is another example of the advanced technology that Kawasaki engineers have packed into the Ultra 310X. The ETC allows the rider to control the nozzle angle of the 160mm jet pump to adjust the hull attitude to suit both water surface conditions and riding style. The system has a plus-or-minus range of eight degrees, and it allows the Ultra 310X’s hull to take the fullest advantage of its razor-sharp turning characteristics.

    HULL
Ultra 310X’s race-derived, fiberglass-reinforced hull is meticulously designed to be both incredibly strong and surprisingly light. Special reinforcements inside the hull help it to retain strength so its overall thickness can be optimized for low weight, which aids in maneuverability.
The hull also features an ingenious cleaning system with a two-circuit design, with each circuit utilizing a dedicated flushing port for the engine and intercooler to facilitate easy maintenance. Edgy-styled contours and nose trim combine to give the Ultra 310X’s bow a sleek and aggressive look.

    ERGONOMICS
Of course, it’s equally important that the Ultra 310X cockpit and rider accommodations are as useful and comfortable as its high-performance engine and hull features.Front and center is a high-visibility instrument panel with an all-LCD info screen design that’s not only futuristic but also allows the rider easy monitoring of all the machine’s vital information. Aided by a visor for easier viewing in sunny conditions, the highly legible LCD display boasts a fuel consumption function that can display gallons per hour or gallons per minute, a boost meter scale and riding-mode displays along with a range of other functions, including clock time, trip and hour meter; digital or bar-graph tachometer; water and air temperature gauges; speedometer and max-speed functions. Keeping track of the Ultra 310X’s vital signs is a cinch.
The Ultra 310X SE’s ergonomic appointments not only match its quality aesthetics, but they’re designed for supreme rider comfort to boot. The Ultra 310Xhandlebar sits in a naturally ergonomic position and is adjustable to five different positions to fit a wide range of riders and riding styles. The wide bar offers plenty of leverage for easy maneuverability, which makes long rides more comfortable, and its gun-grip style handgrips offer a natural feel for reduced hand fatigue as well as sportier looks.
The 310X SE hull-mounted mirrors include a curvature that gives the rider a wide view for excellent rearward visibility. A special two-piece Sportseat was designed for aggressive sport riding and features a raised bolster to support the rider under hard acceleration. The sportseat’s narrow front facilitates sitting or standing when the Ultra 310X SE is ridden solo. The highly functional passenger handrail positioning places the handrail higher for a more natural ergonomic location, helping to reduce passenger fatigue.
And Kawasaki engineers didn’t stop there. The Ultra 310X’s deck design gives all riders plenty of legroom for ideal comfort, and its deck material offers excellent grip for the rider’s feet. A reverse lever on the left side of the craft is also ergonomically designed for easy and precise operation.

    FUEL & HAULING CAPACITY
With 20.6 gallons of fuel capacity – the most in its class – the Ultra 310X allows plenty of range for long-distance rides. Up front, a handy storage bin with a generous 54 gallons of capacity is located under the front cowl, and dual drink holders keep refreshments within easy reach. Total combined storage capacity for the Ultra 310X is an industry-leading 56 gallons. You really can take it with you!
The Kawasaki Jet Ski watercraft is legendary in the personal watercraft world for good reason, and the Jet Ski Ultra 310X SE PWC lives up to its name by pushing the envelope of performance, style and versatility.

    ERGONOMICS
Ultra 310R’s ergonomic appointments not only enhance its aggressive, racy looks, but they’re designed for hardcore sport riding and comfort to boot. Borrowing a cue from Kawasaki’s championship-winning KX line of motocross motorcycles, the Ultra 310R features a solid motocross-style handlebar complete with a crossbar pad for hard sport riding. The electro-polished stainless steel bartransfers direct rider inputs and offers tremendous leverage for easy maneuverability. It is also comfortable for longer rides. The handlebar mounts are adjustable to 12 different height/reach combinations, and can be rotated to provide up to 16 options. This means it can fit a wide range of riders and riding styles, with Kawasaki Genuine Accessories’ clamps giving even more adjustment.
A two-piece sportseat with KX motocross-style seat material and graphics offers roomy accommodations for a rider plus two passengers. The seat design features a slim shape for more comfort around the thighs plusgood hip support. Its narrow width makes it easy to grip with the knees when standing up to ride rough water. The passenger portion of the seat also features a slim design that makes it easy for passengers to hold with their legs in rough water conditions. The passenger handrail is positioned high to offer a more natural, ergonomic location, which helps reduce passenger fatigue, beingshaped for better holding power.

    POWERTRAIN
With 310 horsepower[1]the supercharged inline four-cylinder engine is the most powerful production powerplanton the market, and the basis for an open-water, race-winningengine.With the extraordinary handling and an impressive collection of performance-enhancing qualities, the Jet Ski® Ultra® 310R leaves the competition floundering in its wake. Performance watercraft enthusiasts seeking a healthy dose of aquatic fun need look no farther than the Ultra 310R.
The Ultra 310R’s Digital Fuel Injection-fed (DFI®) 1,498cc engine is the reigning king of horsepower, and its crown is the high-tech Eaton TVS series supercharger. The superchargergives the engine exhilarating yet linear power, and its race-derived hull design makes short work of carving precise turns in calm or rough water, exactly what hard-core performance enthusiasts would expect from a sport-oriented Kawasaki Jet Ski.
The Ultra 310R benefits from many key components being incorporated into the design and build of this machine. For instance, the 310R’s intake manifold is shaped to have a long and slim profile that increases low-mid range power. A fuel pump with superior flow volume adds power and increases fuel efficiency, and the Fuel Economy Assistance mode in the Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is specifically tuned to increase range for long-distance riding.
Kawasaki Jet Ski watercraft are the gold standard in quality and reliability, and Kawasaki engineers are relentless in their pursuit to take those attributes to higher levels. The 310R has cast pistons with a V-groove at second ring land (between the top and second ring grooves) for more consistent oil retention at high loads. To aid piston cooling, the oil jet system that sprays the underside of the piston includes two jets per piston, rather than just one, for better performance. Baffles in the oil pan prevent oil from accumulating on one side of the pan during tight turns or sudden acceleration or deceleration, and the crankcase also has large return holes to facilitate oil return to the pan. Superior oil management equals increased reliability.
The water jackets in the engine are thick for optimum cooling performance, and they utilize a check-valve that opens when the engine is idling or stopped, but closes when it is running to keep the engine cool without over-cooling. The 310R also includes a knock sensor that facilitates engine protection by retarding ignition to suppress abnormal combustion – or engine knock – if it should occur. The system activates a buzzer and the condition is indicated on the instrument panel to warn the rider.
But eye-watering thrust is still the main attraction with the Ultra 310R, and its fuel-injected, DOHC, inline four-cylinder engine pumps out pulse-quickening performance like no other PWC powerplant on earth! Its roots-type Eaton Twin Vortices Series (TVS) supercharger’s efficiency lies in its design, with a pair of four-lobe rotors boosting engine output. The TVS is a fixed-displacement design, which means it produces large quantities of boost at all RPM, from idle to redline. It gives the 310R a flat torque curve and linear power across the rev range that no other production watercraft turbocharger or supercharger system can match.
Ultra 310R’s smooth power delivery is due to its ability to channel compressed air through the engine at a steady rate, instead of in waves, as other superchargers do. And its liquid-cooled intercooler helps to cool the compressed intake charge as it enters the Ultra 310R’s combustion chambers. Cooler air equals denser air, which means less power is lost to performance-robbing engine heat.
Ultimate performance is worthless without rock-solid reliability, and the 310R engine was built from the bottom to top for long-lasting durability in a supercharged application. Its internal engine parts are manufactured to a level of Kawasaki Jet Ski reliability that is unparalleled in the PWC industry. A perfect example of Kawasaki’s attention to detail lies in the ultra 310R’s super-efficient oil cooler, which helps minimize engine temperatures by circulating oil between two cooling jackets. The result is 310 class-leading and stone-reliable horsepower[2].

    ELECTRONICS
An impressive collection of futuristic electronics is standard on the Ultra 310R.
Ultra 310R’s technological arsenal hasa number of superior rider aidsthat include the Fuel Economy Assist mode for maximum economy, which switches the ECU to a fuel map that focuses on gas mileage.
Electric Trim Control (ETC) is another example of the advanced technology that Kawasaki engineers have packed into the Ultra 310R. The ETC allows the rider to control the nozzle angle of the 160mm jet pump to adjust the hull attitude to suit both water surface conditions and riding style. The system has a plus-or-minus range of eight degrees, and it allows the Ultra 310R’s hull to take the fullest advantage of its razor-sharp turning characteristics.
An advanced impeller design is included on the 310R, with blade angles specifically designed for increased acceleration.During acceleration, when cruising or at high speed, horizontal guide “vanes” on the propulsion grate improve hull tracking and reduce cavitation during acceleration for better hook-up. It all adds up to the most advanced production watercraft propulsion system in the industry.

    HULL
The Ultra 301R’s race-derived, fiberglass-reinforced hull is meticulously designed to be both incredibly strong and surprisingly light. Special reinforcements inside the hull help it to retain strength so that its overall thickness can be optimized for low weight, which aids in maneuverability. The hull has an ingenious cleaning system with a two-circuit design, with each circuit utilizing a dedicated flushing port for easy maintenance. Radically edged contours and nose trim combine to give the Ultra 310R’s bow a sleek and aggressive look.

    COCKPIT AMENITIES
Of course, it’s equally important that the Ultra 310R’s cockpit and rider accommodations match its high-performance engine and hull features.Front and center is the highly visible instrument panel with an all-LCD info screen design that’s not only futuristic but also allows the rider easy monitoring of all the machine’s vital information. Aided by a visor for easier viewing in sunny conditions, the highly legible LCD display boasts a fuel consumption function that can display gallons per hour or gallons per minute, a boost meter scale and riding-mode displays along with a range of other functions, including clock; time, trip and hour meter; digital or bar-graph tachometer; water and air temperature gauges; speedometer and max-speed functions. All of these make keeping track of the Ultra 310R’s vital signs a cinch.
The Ultra 301R’s deck design gives all riders plenty of legroom for ideal comfort, and its triangular-pattern deck material offers excellent grip for the rider’s feet. A reverse lever on the left side of the craft features an ergonomically ideal design for easy operation, and optimally curved mirrors offer a wide rear view.

    LONG-RANGE TOURING
With 20.6-gallons of fuel capacity – the most in its class – the Ultra 310R allows plenty of range for long-distance rides. Up front, a handy storage bin with a generous
54-gallons of capacity hides under the front cowl, and dual drink holders keep refreshments within easy reach. Total combined storage capacity for the Ultra 310R is an industry-leading 56 gallons. So you really can take it all with you!
Supreme power, superb handling and comfort, sophisticated, intelligent user-friendly features. These are the attributes that make Kawasaki Jet Ski watercraft legendary in the personal watercraft world, and the Jet Ski Ultra 310R stands head and shoulders above the competition at the pinnacle of the PWC performance genre.

    2015 KAWASAKI JET SKI® ULTRA® LX
    Water-borneLuxury, Performance and Efficiency

The Jet Ski® Ultra® LX personal watercraft hits all the right marks when it comes to offering performance and luxury. It’s an all-around watercraft that matches fun and excitement with performance and luxury. The Ultra LX delivers excellent performance for enthusiasts, with tremendous comfort and cavernous storage capacity.

2015 KAWASAKI JET SKI ULTRA LX HIGHLIGHTS:

    • Deep-V hull provides better handling
    • Industry-leading storage capacity lets you bring all the gear you need
    • Largest fuel tank in class keeps the fun going longer
    • Scalloped LXuryseat enhances comfort
    • Five-position adjustable steering adapts to a variety of riders
    • Splash deflectors minimize spray in a variety of conditions
    • Retracting rear boarding step makes it easy to climb aboard
    • SLO (Smart Learning Operation) allows engine speed to be limited for novices
    • Kawasaki Smart Steering® (KSS®) system gives turning assistance

    HULL DESIGN
The comparison to Kawasaki’s ultimate personal watercraft is an apt one, becausethe Ultra LX incorporates many of the advanced features and technologies from the supercharged Ultra 310 family.
The advanced hull, for example, is a fiberglass-reinforced design that allowsserious maneuverability thanks to its 22.5-degree deep-V shape.

    PROPULSION SYSTEM
There’s Ultra 310 technology in the propulsion system. The jet pump, driveshaft and nozzle share the basic design ofthe 310 series, for example. This advanced system converts the horsepower of theUltra LX into immediate yet controllable thrust via a large-diameter 155mm jet pump. Combined with a steering nozzle designed for lighthandling, the system delivers consistent performance, and plenty of bite, even in rough water.
Everything Kawasaki knows about high-tech engine building goes into the super-efficient powerplantof the Ultra LX. The reliable 1,498cc inline-four four-stroke engine is based on the onepowering the legendary Ninja® ZX-14R sportbike – the most powerful production sportbike on the planet.
It delivers stunning power – 160hp[1] and nearly 1,000 pounds of thrust – plusmanageable throttle response thanks to its DOHC cylinder head design, lightweight pistons, advanced fuel injection system, efficient intake tracts and optimized exhaust.
The big inline-four is also surprisingly fuel efficient, which means you’ll do a lot of exploration and wave-whipping before the extra-large 20.6-gallon fuel tank runs dry.

    STORAGE AND COCKPIT
Another reason you can disappear all day on the Jet SkiUltra LX watercraft is its massive 60-gallon storage capacity, which means food, drinks, supplies, clothing and all kinds of gearcan be easily stowed.
The on-board comfort forthe rider and passengers is exemplary. There’s a soft,LXuryseat with support bolsters, five-position steering that allows the rider to dial-in the right position while standing or sitting, and splash deflectors minimize spray to helpkeep everybody dry. There’s also a large, easy-to-read LCD display that providesa multitude of key digital information, including water and ambient temperature. Its easy-to-use reverse lever offers light operation as well.

    KAWASAKI SMART STEERING® (KSS®)
For optimum maneuverability, the Ultra LX personal watercraft gets electronic turning assistancevia its Kawasaki Smart Steering® system. KSS® features an on-board microprocessor that is linked to a steering sensor. When the handlebar is fully turned in either direction, and the engine RPMdrops belowa designated speedsuch as when the throttle is released at speed – the microprocessor activates the system, raising engine speedto provide thrust for maneuvering.
There’s no end to the fun and exploration you can generate on a watercraft as performance-oriented, practical, fun and comfortable as the 2015 Ultra LX. Here’s what one journalist remarked after getting off an Ultra LX: “It unlocks parts of the ocean and planet you simply couldn’t get to before. And that’s an amazing and wonderful thing.” We couldn’t agree more.

    2015 KAWASAKI JET SKI® STX®-15F
Performance Bargain Watercraft Has The Heart of A Ninja®

Many personal watercraft boast tremendous performance and state-of-the-art features, while other models offer a good bang for the buck if you’re willing to compromise on some aspects. The KawasakiJET SKI®STX®-15F, however, is one watercraft that doesn’t compromise performance for value. With a powerful four-stroke engine, a sporty composite hull and plenty of rider-friendly features, the STX-15Fwill be the bargain of the summer for enthusiasts seeking fun on the water.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE 2015 KAWASAKI JET SKI STX-15F:

    • 160hp[1] engine with Digital Fuel Injection (DFI®) provides performance and economy
    • Agile hull for sporty handling
    • Comfortable ergonomics for extended excursions
    • Digital instrumentation includes speedo, tachometer and fuel gauge
    • Ample storage forthe gear you require
    • SLO (Smart Learning Operation) allows engine speed to be limited for novices riders
    • Kawasaki Smart Steering® (KSS®) system gives turning assistance

    POWERTRAIN
The STX-15F proudly carries the heart of a Ninja®motorcycle.Derived from Kawasaki’s class-leading Ninja ZX-14R sportbike, its 1,498cc engine delivers plenty of low- and mid-range torque while generating an impressive 160hp[2].
The engine blends the best of both worlds by delivering snappy performance with excellentfuel economy and low emissions. In fact, the STX-15F has earned a Three-Star Ultra-Low Emissions rating from the California Air Resources Board, and meets the Environmental Protection Agency’s strictest standards.
Dual overhead camshafts, four-valves-per-cylinder and Digital Fuel Injection provide maximum performance and reliability. A four-injector fuel injection system combined with a large 60mm throttle body delivers quick responses to rider inputs. The STX-15F’s four-stroke engine is rubber mounted to isolate vibration, and features a performance-tuned exhaust as well as a large-capacity airbox.

    PROPULSION SYSTEM
Propulsion duties are handled by a direct-drive, axial-flow jet pump driving an oval-edge, stainless steel, three-blade 148mm impeller for powerful acceleration. Tuned to produce its peak power at a relatively low RPM, the STX-15F engine matches the impeller’s peak efficiency to provide rider-friendly performance. This direct drive arrangement eliminates the need for a complex gear reduction unit and offers improved durability and increased fuel economy with less vibration and noise.
The STX-15F personal watercraft (PWC) alsofeatures Kawasaki’s innovative electronic Smart Learning Operation (SLO). Accessible from the instrument panel, SLO can be programmed to limit maximum engine speed so novices can experience riding at a reduced speed as they master proper techniques.

    HULL DESIGN
Aggressive turns and high-speed stability are key performance attributes of the STX-15F. Its specially designed injection-molded sponsons have a molded “lip” for increased cornering grip and high-speed tracking.
The STX-15F PWCalso gets turning assistancetanks toits Kawasaki Smart Steering® (KSS®) system. KSS employs an on-board microprocessor linked to a steering sensor. When the handlebar is fully turned in either direction, and engine RPM drops below a designated settingsuch as when the throttle is released at speed – the microprocessor activates the system to raiseRPMand provide thrust for maneuvering.
Additionally, a molded Kawasaki Splash Deflector (KSD) is incorporated into the hull to help minimize spray on the occupants.
The muscular and aggressive-looking STX-15F, which is available in an Ebony and Lime Green color, might be lighter and more compact than some of the competition, but its spacious riding position makes its sporty performance easier to access for a wider range of riders.

    ERGONOMICS AND STORAGE
The spacious rear deck of the STX-15F makes it easy to fit water skis or climb onto a wakeboard. An automatically retracting boarding step is located on the rear of the hull to simplify boarding when in deep water.
There is no shortage of space to stow items on the STX-15F. The rear deck can accommodate gear needed for a day on the water, such as a cooler. There is also a water-resistant storage compartment, an easily accessible glovebox and additional storage space under the seat.
The hatch cover is made from resilient ABS plastic and uses a hydraulic damper to hold it open, allowing easy access until the rider closes it. The mirrors are also ABS plastic and echo the sleek lines of the Jet Ski watercraft, being mounted directly to the top deck.
A generous 16.4-gallon fuel capacity allows extended rides, during which there is plenty of time to enjoy the cockpit features. These include an LCD instrument panel with fuel level, speed, engine RPM, trip distance and a clock available, with warning lamps to alert the rider of a low fuel level or high engine temperature, along with a magnetic-keyed ignition switch that helps deter unauthorized operation.

    ACCESSORIES
Kawasaki Genuine Accessories, such as a Protective Cover, Bumpers, Anchor, etc, are available at authorized Kawasaki dealers.
