J-Pipe Boost gauge Idea - With Pics

Well call it smart or dumb but I did it anyway....I was not keen on cutting another hole in the factory plastics for a boost gauge. I removed the factory J-Pipe due to the fizzle coming with a new enlarged one. Rather than let it sit on shelf (Or in a landfill for that matter) I decided to get a little creative . The cup holder seemed like a dumb idea anyway as you cannot feasibly use it. The diameter is perfect for the larger end of the j-pipe to fit inside of and the small end fits the boost gauge fairly snug as well. Also it has a drain hole in it for the boost reference tubing to slide right thru. Stars aligned and seemed ideal. Not finished up yet but wanted to show it off to greenhulk anyway....

Very nice idea.. Does the pipe fit tight in the cup holder not allowing it to slide out when it's rough out? Or did you find a way to hold it down in place?

Creative idea for sure but why not a $15 gauge pod?

I guess a pod would work. Just need to screw into plastic somewhere and drill hole for tube if you went that route. The cup holder is never used, and this was free...I don't know just one of those evenings walking around garage with a beer and something catches your eye and you go for it...lol. yeah it fits pretty snug actually. I am going to put some window glaze tape or something around it when I shove it in there a final time. Should keep it stuck for good.

I use the cupholders for beer sometimes. But only when we are just floating around and not actually riding.
