Spark - More fun per pound than any ski out there - GoPro 1080HD

Summer is over in Alaska, so here is my 2014 tribute to the Spark - most fun jumping and camping I've had.

If you have been waiting to get one - stop. You will not be disappointed with yours.

With exception of the X4 hull 787s. Same weight as the Spark but 110 horsepower and trim.

I'll have to give you the trim - till 2015. I'll also give you the top end speed, but the rest belongs to the Spark. I sold my last 787 and never looking back. X4s held their crown for two decades.

The Spark has a slight weight advantage I believe 8 pounds. So a Vtec tuned spark would have a higher power to weight ratio

    I have 95 XP800s which are a little lighter than standard X4

Are the HP claims with the Vtec tune accurate? I still haven't seen a Spark hit the speeds of my stock (other than F/A) 787, which run's between 59.5-59.9 all day. What is holding the sparks back speed wise with similar power + mods?

I am a huge Spark fan, I will buy one as soon as they release an X type model with over 110+ HP, VTS, and runs atleast 60 mph. Until then my 95 XP800s are still the better performing skis.

I had the 95XP800 when I raced and I think the fact that the Spark hull is 4 1/2 inches wider and a LOT more of the hull touches the water at Full speed compared to the XP800., is what slows it down considerably? Increased stability and a dryer ride have hurt top end. IMO
