Another GP1200R power valve / Riva clip kit question ...
Any write up (preferably with pics) on the installation of the the riva clips that prevent the power valves from "failing"
As if I needed another project or time consumer in my life I just got a GREAT deal an 01 GP1200R, ran good & fast but temp light comes on almost immediately and it's not over heating..has a d.plate and chip. Gonna check it all out, make sure sensor wires and chip stuff is all correct, clean out the carbs, new battery, etc.. I know the power valves were the big issue on these skis so I want to address them as well while it's all broken down..
pics 4 clicks..

Its pretty easy. Take the power valve covers off and snap the clips on

yup. thats pretty much it, you'll also have to remove allen head bolt 1st and might as well clean everything while your in there...

I don't know if they are the same but with wave eaters you don't have to remove the allen bolt, it clips over the bolt
and get lever links too
