    Lucky 13 pump cone vs. Solas 13/20 Impellor

    I am horribly up against the rev limiter and boost limiter on my R2 flashed FX SVHO. It has full bolt ons and a Fizzle Y1000 as well. Trying to decide between these 2 items to gain more top speed and also kill my holeshot cavitation. Please provide any input and results you have seen with these items or if you have any other suggestions. Also please note this winter I am doing springs/retainers and sending ECU back for R3 tune. Thanks -Chris

    Edit: Just sent ECU back to R&D to upgrade from the R2 to the R3.

    Fix your impeller pitch I think the R2 and R3 has the same limiter

    The R3 has a higher boost and rpm limiter. So your saying to repitch the stock prop and not do either of these options? How does this address the cavitation? For those with the L13 cone, does this actually mimic a larger pitched prop? So if a guy was on the limiter this cone would have the potential of increasing top speed as well as reduce the cavitation?

    Hopefully someone can get me some info soon on the prop so I know what pitch I should be at vs the stock prop. If it drops rpm by 200-300 it would work perfect I think...

    That cone should load it up....but I'd try a degree on the prop first....the cone will get rid of cav but won't add speed....a prop or repitch probably will add speed

    If your not going any more mods than you listed the R2 should be fine

    R2 you can run 8400max and 14psi of boost. If you want more rpms and plan on a boost wheel than you need the R3

    Correct, on the reflash. I planned on waiting until winter but I decided to just send the ECU off this morning. Getting the R3 program. Also getting the super single spring kit. This kit is supposed to be good for up to 9000 rpm so I will talk to glenn and decide on rpm limit and boost limit on the R3. I am thinking boost limit will be 18psi and rev at 8850 or 9000. Either way I will need to keep rpms up to around 8600-8800 now to keep boost numbers in check with factory blower wheel. This is why I am slightly concerned about the prop, unless of course I de pitched it down to a 19 or so. That prop has a larger hub and aggressive root angle. Overall wanting to pick up top speed and reduce or eliminate holeshot cavitation.

    If you're bumping up the RPM limit by 600 you might not need to touch the prop.
