    Should I upgrade my impeller?

I am doing a rebuild of my impeller. It somehow locked up while riding a few weeks ago and will not spin whatsoever.

My impeller blade is not that messed up at all. I'm just wondering how much better my seadoo will run with an upgraded blade from Solas or someone alike? Or if it's even worth the extra $? Thanks!

    Btw I have a 1999 gtx rfi

Those RFI skis are touchy, and closed loop fuel injection. Changing the impeller won't make it go faster, in fact it will more than likely cost you a motor. Keep that thing stock... just my .02

Appreciate that. New to repairing these myself so I'll learn as I go!

So you have personally messed with an RFI ski modblaster? Because my personal experience says modding these is trouble... it's closed loop FI, if you change anything, change RPM, change load on the engine, anything at all and it will either run too lean or too rich. Too rich and it will foul plugs very quickly, too lean and it will fry that motor quickly... OEM setups BARELY worked with these RFI skis... mods without monitoring AFRs are a recipe for instant disaster.

New aftermarket impeller is a waste of $ on the RFI. You'll never notice a difference. Keep stock or have rebuild stock back on it.

I have installed a Solas Concord on a customers GTX RFI. I didn't notice a difference but the customer is very familiar with his own machine and he says it pulls a tube better now.
