    Ethanol Free Gas

Hey everyone, I have a new Yamaha FZR and it calls for 91 octane gas. There is a gas station close to my house that has Ethanol free gas but it is 89 octane. Would you put in 91 octane that has the ethanol or the 89 without ethanol? Would 89 octane hurt it?
    Thanks

I would run the 91. Try to find 91 ethanol free if you want to run ethanol free fuel

My husband's kawi uses super also but I don't know about your area but ethanol free gas around here is ridiculously high. Pushing $5/gallon. Fine if you need a gallon for your mower. Terrible if your jetski sucks down 15 gallons in one afternoon! lol..
We continue to use regular super 93 octane and add Star tron.

Ok that's what I'll do then, it is expensive! I'll just run the 93.
    Thanks!

Does the owner manual for this ski specify 91 only, or does it state that 91 is for best performance but lower octane can be used? If lower octance can be used I would use the 89 without ethanol, its cheaper & you will have less future headaches. You could also mix the 93 & 89 50/50, you would then have 91 with only 5% ethanol, you'd save a little money, but its kinda of a pain.

I'd run the 93 and add a treatment if ur worried. I only see issues with blend gas during storage, as long as u burn it within a month or so the 10% ethanol should just anything (and if it does you bought the wrong ski IMO)

The blended gas will actually aupress knock more than the strait 93 will, assuming Ur rich from the start(and most stock setups are)
The reason for storing with pure gas is to prevent the ethanol from being contaminated with water
