    Better to buy 255 or 215 and hop up?

    Disclosure Im a nubee to this stuff. Looking at a few 07-09 seadoos, I can get a great deal on a 215 wake pro, it's 2/3s the price of any 255 I've looked at. So my question is can I simply do the 127 + 42lb injectors and a new impeller and have the same performance as the 255 OR do I spend the extra 2-3 grand and buy the 255 from the start?

    127, injectors, impeller and heat exchanger will get you a good set up, little more than the 255. Just be ready, once you begin to upgrade, you will be getting more, it happens to all of us. Also, look out for the issues of the 04-05 valves and flywheel bolts, and make sure the ski you are looking at has good upkeep.

    It depends. If you're looking at a RXT you'll want a RXT-X to avoid the pumpshoe/grate issue past 75 unless you plan on ripping the entire pump line apart and dropping $1k in parts to get it to hold up to speed.

    If you're looking at a RXP then the 215 is fine. X steering is nice(but looks stupid as all hell sticking up so far) but a good set of renthals at the proper angle works great.

    Thanks for the feedback, the 215 I'm looking at is a 2007 wake pro is this still a good ride to mod?

    From reading threads here sounds like I don't need an ecu flash with the 127 and 42's??

    ps we are at 3000ft elevation IF that matters.

    Hi guys,
    Could I please grab some opinions on the upgrading of a wake 215 to make it go around 75mph. They are currently selling here in Australia for about $5000 less then a RXT-X plus they have all the ski options. What would need to be done?
