Fuel mixture screw preset/rebuilt carb 2001 xlt 1200

I just rebuilt my carbs and need to know the # of turns out for the fuel mixture screws to get it running so I can adjust them while running. I thought it was 2 1/2 but I am not sure. Does anyone have any advise for me?
    Thanks

Low screws @1 1/2 High @ 1 3/4 This should be real close and adjust as needed, Tommy Jordan
