    How fast should a 2011 Rxt-X 260 RS go???

I bought mine a few months back and it's top speed goes at 65 mph. I think it should be faster, right???

Is that 65 on a GPS or 65 on the speedo?

Speedo needle as well as in the center gauge mph indicator.

It's never registered any faster? I would do a GPS comparison and see what it says. The GTR's speedo would hit 68. Also...what max RPM's are you at when you are at 65 on the speedo? I myself don't know what the RXT's max RPM's should be so someone else who knows hopefully chimes in.

When I used it for the first time it got to 67, but only one time. I'n not sure about the RPM's. The ski runs really good, but I feel it should go a little faster than that.

Very warm air temps and high humidity will result in lower rpm and speed, as will salt water vs fresh water. The RS version will be about 2+ mph faster than a US version.

    iControl ECU Programming

Here are the facts from BRP about ECU programming:

    TUNING INFORMATION:
The iControl Engine Management System has several factory limitations that must be considered when tuning/modifying your watercraft.

    GPS Controlled Speed Limiter:

U.S. models are governed to 67mph and International models are governed to 72mph. Note that this is actual speed as measured by hand held GPS and not speed displayed on instrument cluster.

    Engine RPM Limiter:

Both U.S. and International models have a factory engine RPM limiter set at 8,040rpm. Target engine RPM for modified applications should be 7,900-8,000rpm. The design of the iControl engine rev limiter allows the craft to run closer to limit than previous generation Sea-Doo’s without surging or losing power. iControl system will automatically close throttle as needed to reduce RPM if engine rev limit is reached.

    Torque Limiter:

Both U.S. and International models have a control system that calculates throttle position, boost pressure & engine RPM to limit maximum torque. When torque limit is exceeded, system will close throttle as needed to stay within factory specifications.

Bottom line is you should be real close to 8040 RPM at WOT runs and around 70-72 mph depending on weather conditions and supporting mods.

I have exactly the same ski as you. RXT-X 2011 RS.

    Stock it ran 8000 / 8040 rpm and 112 / 115 km/h on the dash (115 = 71 mph).

So exactly according the limiters as JPT above mentioned.

So you are losing somewhere. First check your rpms at WOT.

If you're losing rpms and still have the stock intercooler.............

Well you're long enough on the forum to know which problem you MAY have !!!

I no longer have the stock intercooler on it, so I'll keep trying to find what else could be the cause.

Good decision to change your IC

Check your rpm's when you're doing a steady/long WOT run.
